I wanted to write a post about Danica winning her first race earlier in the week, but then it was Earth Day, and then I was busy. I started writing all this stuff about gender barriers and role models and nay-sayers and then I saw this picture, which I think says it all, and is hilarious as well.

What more needs to be said than Danica standing next to a giant trophy nearly as big as her while the 2nd place finisher, a man, holds a trophy not much bigger than his hand?
I just thought the size disparity was a nice metaphor for how much bigger it is to come in 1st than 2nd - especially in this case. Plus I just thought it was pretty funny that Helio Castroneves was pointing and laughing at the size of his trophy.
